Today’s biggest hits are often big-budget spectacles like The Hunger Games and The Dark Knight Rises that utilize a combination of acting talent, compelling drama and a sharp visual aesthetic to craft a story that audiences can lose themselves in.
Then, there are other films that – despite an obvious lack of all of the above – remain entertaining for the sheer absurdity of it all. To many audiences, these films are so bad they’re good, and it is in this camp that Birdemic 2: The Resurrection clearly calls home.
